White Hill Gardens began as both a passion project and a turning point. I started it not just because I love gardening, but because I wanted something more—freedom, purpose, and the chance to build something of my own. I was tired of working for someone else. I wanted control over my life, and I found that in the soil.
For me, gardening is about nurturing—not just plants, but people, too. Every seed planted is an act of care, and every garden plan is a chance to help someone else grow something meaningful.
The name comes from Whites Road in Waynesburg, PA—a quiet, forested stretch in the hills and valleys of Appalachia. That’s where this idea took root. Today, White Hill Gardens is more than a small plant shop or design service. It’s a growing piece of the community.
I’m self-taught, and every bit of this business has been hands-on and from the heart. I hope to keep growing—not just with more plants, but by giving back: supporting local food programs, bringing beauty to neglected spaces, and helping others reconnect with the land.
